The demands society places on us today demands more energy of us but unfortunately many people are turning to unhealthy options to 'keep their energy going' like pharmaceutical drugs, hard drugs, alcohol, sugar &amp;amp; caffeine.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Way before you become ill, stressed &amp;amp; depressed, your energy levels begin to slowly deplete. Your body is amazing &amp;amp; it puts up with a&amp;nbsp;great deal&amp;nbsp;of stress before it begins to breakdown. Once it begins to breakdown &amp;amp; your immune system has been severely compromised you are then susceptible to the many stress syndromes, auto immune diseases &amp;amp; cancers we see so prevalent today. It is so serious because once your immune system is so depleted, there is not much 'medicine' can do for you. Medicine is about treating symptoms &amp;amp; emergency situations. They do not focus on healing you mind &amp;amp; body holistically. So, there is a lot you need to do to not get yourself into this situation!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;What can we all do to increase our vitality &amp;amp; sustain our energy levels so we keep a well functioning immune system?&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;U&gt;4 BIG STEPS TO SUSTAIN OUR ENERGY LEVELS&lt;BR&gt;&lt;/U&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;Movement&lt;/U&gt; - To keep your energy, blood flow, nerve flow, endorphins &amp;amp; opiates in your body flowing you need to keep moving. If your body is in certain postures too long because of work &amp;amp; stress you body will become inflexible &amp;amp; stagnate &amp;amp; degenerate. This is why exercise is so important &amp;amp; why treatments such as Chiropractic or Spinal Manipulative Therapy is so effective because it can stimulate movement &amp;amp; flexibilty from within.&lt;/P&gt; 
&lt;P&gt;&lt;U&gt;Enrichment&lt;/U&gt; - Science shows us that when your mind is stimulated &amp;amp; enriched with novelty &amp;amp; fascination,&amp;nbsp;it triggers protein synthesis that creates new neural pathways &amp;amp; genes - very important for our well being &amp;amp; ageing.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;U&gt;Connection&lt;/U&gt; - This is our sense of purpose, that our lives have meaning &amp;amp; we feel connected to a greater whole. We don't feel separate or isolated. We are emotionally content with who we are &amp;amp; this may come to us in different ways.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;U&gt;Physiology&lt;/U&gt; - Through nutrition we can sustain our energy levels. We know sugar &amp;amp; processed foods is the enemy. Sugar in it's many forms in processed carbohydrates merely spike our insulin levels for us to thereafter have low&amp;nbsp;energy &amp;amp; food cravings - so you become overweight &amp;amp; have no energy!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;All of these 4 key factors are interconnected. If you are missing any one of these it will affect your health adversely over a period of time. I have noticed in my practice experience over 16 years that some people do 1 or 2 of these very well but can still have major health problems. A real life example would be someone who was an exceptional athlete &amp;amp; nutrition was excellent - however, enrichment &amp;amp; connection may have been out of balance &amp;amp; they had a heart attack at age 40. One would assume in our society that someone who was very fit &amp;amp; ate well was 'healthy' -&amp;nbsp;but we are more than just our physical bodies.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The secret to ALL success is keeping yourself happy. Make choices, moment by moment, that make you happy.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;TRUST your intuition.             <title>What expands our consciousness?</title>

            <description>&lt;P align=justify&gt;Research shows us today that our inherited genes play a much smaller role in our lives than once thought. More important now is&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;environment we are exposed to&amp;nbsp;&amp;amp; our behaviours that we learn.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The new science of genomics, brain plasticity &amp;amp; neurogenesis shows us that new genes are made in our brain &amp;amp; body through protein synthesis. The common denominators that stimulate new gene growth in the mind &amp;amp; body are: novelty; enrichment; wonder; fascination; change; different; meaningful; surprising &amp;amp; movement - It looks very much like the qualities &amp;amp; experiences of a child. As adults we become too left brain dominant &amp;amp; we lose these meaningful qualities.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Now, picture a stressful scenario -&amp;nbsp;no movement, bad or same posture with computers, sitting or driving; no change in routines -&amp;nbsp;same work, same thoughts, conversations&amp;nbsp;&amp;amp; emotions - We become physically, physiologically &amp;amp; psychologically stuck, stressed &amp;amp; ill. Our minds &amp;amp; bodies need to move &amp;amp; change &amp;amp; grow &amp;amp; be stimulated or we will become depressed, ill or die prematurely.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;I have seen many times in my practice experience that when patients of mine with some 'chronic conditions' change their routine or take a vacation, especially overseas so their whole environment &amp;amp; routine is different -&amp;nbsp;that their 'condition' or problem completely goes away. After 1-3 weeks of returning home to their same mundane routine &amp;amp; stressors their symptoms start appearing again. This practical example really sums it up &amp;amp; science backs it up!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;This is why I find integrating &amp;amp; utilizing chiropractic, acupuncture, hypnotherapy &amp;amp; matrix energetics so effective in stimulating the body &amp;amp; the mind. It's a great boost &amp;amp; kickstart but then you need to take over &amp;amp; create your own life of variety! Now you know why it is said, &quot;Variety is the spice of life!&quot;&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Think back on your life.             <description>We are brought up in a world of quick fixes and pain relief medications! It's simple - If your pain, stress, tension, headache or&amp;nbsp;illness keeps returning, then you are treating the symptoms and not the real cause.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Visiting&amp;nbsp;various doctors &amp;amp; therapists for your ailment or problem can be very confusing as each has their own diagnosis, terminology &amp;amp; treatment protocol depending on their area of expertise.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Your neck &amp;amp; shoulder problems can be diagnosed as: muscle tension; stress; cervicogenic headache; subluxation; vertigo; dizzyness; tendonitis; sprained ligaments; slipped disc; shoulder dysfunction; arthritis; muscle spasm; fibromyalgia; fibrositis etc.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Your lower back problems can be diagnosed as: sciatica; back spasms; arthritis; herniated disc; facet joint syndrome; sacro-iliac syndrome; bursitis; piriformis syndrome &amp;amp; many others...Sound familiar?!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;And then you have other made up names &amp;amp; diagnosis&amp;nbsp;like chronic fatigue syndrome; ME; polymyalgia; multiple sclerosis; motor neuron disease; autism; ADHD; many 'cancers' and&amp;nbsp;if you look in the medical merck manual you will find the 'etiology' - cause unknown?&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The big question then is: How can we treat something effectively if we do not know what is causing it?&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;So this is the major problem we are facing in modern medicine today -&amp;nbsp;that the real cause of our problems &amp;amp; 'illnesses' are not being identified. &lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;From my 16 years of private practice experience integrating chiropractic, acupuncture, hypnotherapy &amp;amp; matrix energetics I have noticed that most physical pain &amp;amp; symptoms have a strong mental, emotional &amp;amp; spiritual component to it.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;What do you think?
